I first appreciated this when I was in York but didn’t purchase it as it might be on a whim but I kid you not, couldn’t forget it so I went inside the Cambridge store and bought a 30ml one. Weeks after sadly it was on the Summer sale and couldn’t resist buying the 100ml one. Flowery musky scent with a powdery dry down. Definitely addicting!

Softly feminine yet confidently mature
This fragrance has so many layers to it. There's delicate floral, wrapped in gentle Musk that gives this very feminine scent a maturity that will suit a day or evening wear. This fragrance has an effect on my confidence that mirrors putting on my favourite dress. It's very well named.

Lusciously feminine
The description says iris, but that’s not what my nose knows. A dewy rose garden at midnight. Star jasmine lines the borders, perfuming the thick night air. A gentleman strokes by and your nose is full of his sandalwood cologne on top of the garden. Everything feels thick, heady, languorous, a bit naughty even. You are in love with love.

Sweet
Seemingly quite a feminine fragrance, ‘The Favourite’ is much less heavy than, for example, Halfeti. As with many other Penhaligons fragrances, it has more longevity on my clothes than skin. Not a ‘favourite’ with those prone to headaches, as it is a sweet fragrance and might strike some as cloying. I, however, love it.
