The Golden Trio
Fresh, delightful and vibrant - 3 words I would use to describe this set! I strongly recommend anyone wanting to try a little bit of everything Penhaligons has to offer to buy one of these sets! The first time I was introduced into the further products by Penhaligons (essentially anything but the fragrances) was during the recent Summer Sale where I found this lovely set for only £28! Originally I was only after a soap bar after seeing them constantly advertised on my socials daily and wanted to see what the fuss is about, then found this set for only a little bit more and thought "why not treat myself?". After waiting only 36 hours on standard delivery to reach my house, I cannot explain enough I was absolutely blown away. The set comes beautifully wrapped in this carefully crafted, elegant box which for me was just bursting with the Quercus fragrance, and this was before I even opened it! Looking inside the scent spread gently around the room and the box house the three products - a 5ml scent, 30ml Body Lotion and 30ml Soap Bar. The 5ml Scent comes nice, neat and gorgeous to look at in a miniature glass bottle with a yellow tassel for that trademark Penhaligons look. Rather than a spritz style perfume, this comes as the much older "splash" or "dab" on skin. Although this was done more out of practicality, I do think it adds to the aesthetic. I will say you do end up using it a bit more conservatively to avoid using it up in a few days or less use. Personally I apply a drop at a time to my finger and dab onto areas such as wrists and neck. You do get a bit less on your person than you would using a spritz but it definitely performs just a well. The 30ml Body Lotion is an absolute DREAM! Ugh I honestly couldn't tell you how impressed I am with this. The lotion comes in a plastic version of the usual Penhaligons perfume bottles, meaning you can squeeze it to get the right amount out with ease. The lotion itself is made to perfection and not only leaves the body feeling beyond soft, but actually gives them a lovely vibrant glow afterwards making it look youthful. The scent is also incredibly long lasting and coupled with the scent and soap really collectively compliment each other, leaving you feeling and smelling fresh for longer. The 30ml Soap bar is again wonderful to use! The soap comes stamped with the Penhaligons logo and as a lovely yellowish-cream colour to it. It performs quite well in that is allows for a generous lather in the shower and does amazing in leaving your body feeling soft and fresh. There is a scent to the bar however I did feel that after showering it was much more gentle on the skin rather than pronounced. I have at least used it exclusively for 2-3 weeks now and its starting to get quite small however for the use I have gotten out of it definitely worth it. All in all - this has been an absolute pleasure to use and has opened the doors to the rest of the Penhaligons range. This little box is perfect as a gift or even a short holiday away. The scents combine and layer, meaning a once short lived Eau de Cologne now lasts for at least 4/5 hours. I would say the amounts provided may seem small but if used right you can make them last for a long while. I urge anyone who is wanting to try Penhaligons to treat themselves to one of these sets, especially Quercus! Just like the colour - this really is the Golden Trio!

The Golden Trio
All I can say about this set is this really is the Golden Trio! Originally bought this set during the Summer Sale as a means of trying out a new fragrance as well as other products Penhaligons have to offer. Once it arrived I was greeted with beyond a treat! The box the collection comes in is elegant and beautifully made, casing all 3 items in luxury. Before I even opened the box the Quercus aroma was radiating from the box and when opened, bursts out like a fresh and zesty cloud that fills the room. The Products are expertly made and when used together, really collaborate to push the limits of the fragrance and helps it perform even longer. The fragrance itself is a no brainer and absolutely stunning - It comes in a 5ml bottle made of glass with a stopper lid and yellow tassel. Rather than spritz you would need to splash or dab on the skin, adding to the older Penhaligons charm. This can end up being depleted quickly however I use my index finger to dab the fragrance over my wrists and neck. Even after 4 weeks I am only a quarter of the way through the bottle. The 30ml lotion is an absolute DREAM! Honestly couldn't express how beyond stunned I was this. The lotion makes your body feel so velvety soft BUT also adds this vibrant, youthful glow. The scent inside I feel is just as strong as the scent alone which personally I love! The 30g Soap was also I lovely way to spice up shower time - The soap is very delicately perfumed, so you won't leave the shower smelling much like Quercus however it is very subtle on the skin and incredibly long lasting! The soap did manage to last me 2-3 weeks which is about above average for a soap that large. All in all - I urge anyone who is wanting to try a bit of everything, wanting to find the perfect gift or wants some incredible luxuries to enjoy for a short-long holiday to buy one of this set! The value is great for the level of quality you are getting and the bonus you get is when used together, this set really improves the performance of the original perfume by layering! Honestly - The Golden Trio!
