An Enchanting Introduction
This set was my first experience with any Penhaligon's perfumes- and they more than lived up to their legacy, reputation and my own expectations. The selection provided in this miniature set allows for a great overview of what is available from the brand, and showcases how Penhaligon's have crafted an essence for everyone. •The Favourite is just that, a favourite! It smells so... familiar, comfortable, it's a quintessential perfume that exudes elegance and sophistication in the vein of J'Adore or No.5, but it is entirely unique and stands out in a crowd. 5/5. •Elisabethan Rose is a lovely floral scent- but instead of the sweet, superficial floral fragrances that flood the market, E.R makes its presence known, there is a depth to it that endures alongside it's longevity which makes for a sophisticated sniff. I found the opening quite sharp, almost pickle-like, but it dries down quite quickly to a more settled, inviting scent. 4/5. •Halfeti is very androgynous, it is not masculine nor feminine but would be very complimentary on anyone- I was expecting an intense, spicy scent but was surprised to learn how... calming (???) it was, like sitting beside a fire while you can smell the rain on your clothes. 4.5/5. •For me, Empressa was the crown jewel of this set. It's so simple, and yet like nothing I've ever encountered before. The peach and blood orange shine through, but aren't sharp or jarring, it is entirely magnanimous in it's composition. I look forward to owning a full sized bottle. 5/5. •Luna is a lovely and unique fragrance, I found that it was very citrusy in the opening- but not in the invigorating way I normally find such notes- again it was balanced, inviting, comforting. It is very pleasant, but I found that it did not make as strong an impression as the others in this set, all of which immediately feel like they could be someone's signature scents, Luna feels like she may get forgotten or lost in a crowd. 3.5/5. The bottles caps have a hollow rubber plug which effectively serves as a dropper, but this makes application (in lieu of an atomiser), somewhat difficult. Nonetheless they are lovely to display.

Unbelievable Fragrances
I don’t remember who mentioned Penhaligons or how I found them but I need to thank whomever pointed me toward these fragrances. Each fragrance is so unique and special. Like nothing I’ve sniffed before. If you’re new to the brand, this little set is stunning. Great to gift as well. My favorite is Empressa. Tomorrow it will be The Favourite. The day after that Luna. And so on. I can’t decide which I like best. I have soooo many “other” fragrances but these rise to the top. Worth every penny. I plan to collect more of these fragrances to add to my collection.
